Fishing was tough, with only 16 fish weighed in. However, those fish caught were Quality fish. 13 of 16 fish caught (81.3%) were over 10 pounds. Only 2 boats could came up with a full creel of 4-fish.

Most people caught a lot of fish. Most fish were caught in water from a couple of feet to twenty feet deep. Twenty-nine of the thirty-two boats weighed in fish. Fifty-nine of the seventy-three people weighed in fish. Although the average weight of the fish of boats placing in the money was 8.22 pounds, the figure is distorted due to the two big fish weighed in. Below is a filtered average fish of the boats placing by removing the two big fish. Filtered Weight = 15.7 lbs., Fish = 18, Ave. Wt. = 6.43 lbs.

The water temperature was 68-72 degrees. A cold spell 3-weeks ago drove the water temperatures down 3-5 degrees across the entire lake. However, a very warm spell the past 2-weeks brought the temperatures back up 6-8 degrees across the entire lake. Fish had moved off of their normal pattern and were still somewhat unpredictable.

Additionally, the 24.31 pounder is the largest fish weighed in in the 9-year history.
